3d Lacrosse
3d Lacrosse needed a commerce-enabled event registration system for their extensive catalog of lacrosse training programs across the country. We created a Drupal site with:
- Drupal Commerce registration with payments through Authorize.Net
- Linked parent and player accounts, so one adult can manage several athletes
- Custom reporting across every event in a national catalog
- Training video libraries delivered from a remote CDN
- Custom modules for the registration flows no contributed module covered
About this project
The challenge
3d Lacrosse ran a national catalog of training programs, camps and events, each with its own location, schedule, capacity and price. Families routinely registered more than one player, sometimes across different programs, and needed to pay for all of it in one place. Staff needed to see who had signed up for what across every event in the country, without exporting and reconciling spreadsheets.
What we built
We built the site on Drupal with registration and commerce handled as one system, so an event, its capacity and its price live in a single record with nothing to keep in sync by hand, and payments are processed through Authorize.Net. Parent and player accounts are linked, which lets one adult manage several athletes while each player's registration history stays attached to the player rather than to whoever paid. Custom modules cover the parts no contributed module handles: the registration flows specific to how 3d ran their programs, and reporting built around the questions their staff asked. Training video libraries are served from a remote CDN, which keeps large media files off the site's own hosting and application server.
